(i) mass of 0.5 mole of CO2 gas :-

Molecular mass of co2= (12*1)+(16*2)= 12+24 = 44g

and let the given mass be x

Now we know that

No of Moles = Given mass/Molecular mass

0.5 = x/44

thus, x = 0.5 × 44

=22 g.

(ii) Atomic mass of Na= 23 u = 23g

Also let the given mass be x

now we know that number of atoms = (given mass×Avagardos number)/ Atomic mass

=》 3.05 × 10⁵ = (x* 6.022 * 10²³) /23

x = 11.64 × 10‐¹⁸ g
