The formula for calculating the mode of a class is

Mode = l+[\frac{f1-f0}{2f1-f0-f2}]h

Where, l = lower class limit of modal class, h = class size, f1 = frequency of modal class, f0 = frequency of class proceeding to modal class, f2 = frequency of class succeeding to modal class.

Now,

Mode = 20+[\frac{20-7}{2*20-7-8}]5

Mode = 20+(13/25)*5

Mode = (100+13)/5 = 113/5

Mode = 22.6

Hence, the mode of the class is 22.6
