Here we have to calculate the molar mass of CH2OH which is known to us as methanol ,this methanol contains with carbon, oxygen and hydrogen atom .

So when we will go to determine the molar mass,we have to know the atomic mass of carbon, oxygen and hydrogen.

and the atomic mass of the hydrogen is 1(one)

the atomic mass of oxygen is 16(sixteen)

the atomic mass of carbon is 12(twelve)

• The molar mass of Methanol = (atomic mass of carbon)+( atomic mass of oxygen)+(atomic mass of Hydrogen×4)

= (12)+(16)+(1×4)= 32 gm
