Given:-

→Mass of NaOH = 4g

→Volume of solution = 1000mL

To find:-

→Molarity of the solution

Solution:-

•Atomic mass of Sodium(Na) = 23u

•Atomic mass of Oxygen(O) = 16u

•Atomic mass of Hydrohen(H) = 1u

Thus, molecular mass of NaOH :-

= 23+16+1

= 40u

We know that, molar mass is the molecular mass in grams. Thus, molar mass of NaOH is 40g.

No, of moles in 4g of NaOH:-

= Given Mass/Molar mass

= 4/40

= 0.1 mole

Now we know that:-

Molarity of a soution:-

= Moles of solute/Liters of solution

=>1000mL = 1L

= 0.1/1

= 0.1 M

Thus, molarity of the solution is 0.1 M .
