Calculate the mole fraction of dichloromethane and trichloromethane. When 35 gm of dichloromethane is dissolved in 75 gm of trichloromethane.

35 gm of dichlorimethane means 0.411 moles.

75 gm of trichloromethane means 0.628 moles .

Mole fraction of dichloromethane=no of moles of dichloromethane/ total no of moles

= 0.411/1.039=0.3955

Mole fraction of trichloromethane= 1-0.3955= 0.6045
