A) C2H5OH = 46.058 u

B) MgSO4 =120.37 u

C) H2SO4 = 98.076 u

D) CaCO3 = 100.09 u

E) Al2(SO4)3 = 342.14 u

Explanation:

A) C2H5OH =( mass of Carbon ×2 )+(mass of Hydrogen×5) + (mass of Oxygen + mass of hydrogen)

= 2×12.01 +5×1.008 +(16.0+1.008)

= 46.058

B) MgSO4 = (mass of Magnesium) + (mass of Sulphur) + (mass of oxygen ×4)

=24.31 +32.06 +16.0 ×4

= 120.37

C) H2SO4 = mass of hydrogen ×2 + mass of sulphur + mass of oxygen ×4

= 2×1.008 +32.06 +16.0×4

=98.076

D) CaCO3 = mass of calcium + mass of Carbon + mass of oxygen ×3

= 40.08 +12.01 +3×16.0

= 100.09

E) Al2(SO4)3 = mass of aluminium ×2 + mass of sulphur ×3 + mass of oxygen ×12

= 26.98×2 +32.06×3 +16.0×12

= 342.14
