Given: 56 grams of Neon.

To find: We have to find the number of moles.

Solution:

Neon has an atomic number 10 and it is an inert gas.

We have to follow the below steps to determine the number of moles-

The atomic mass of Ne is 20u.

Thus atomic weight of Ne is 20 grams.

We know that 20 grams of Neon occupy one mole.

So, 56 grams of Neon will occupy-

 \frac{56}{20} = 2.8

So, the number of moles of 56 grams of Ne is 2.8moles.
