The molar mass of water is 18 grams. The mass of water, present inthe given sample, is 100 grams. The number of moles in the sample can be calculated by dividing the mass given by molar mass.

Moles = mass / molar mass

Moles = 100 grams / 18 grams

Moles = 5.56

The number of particles in a mole of a substance is 6.022 x 1023. The total number of molecules in 5.56 moles of water is;

Number of molecules = 5.56 x 6.022 x 1023

Number of molecules = 33.456 x 1023
