2C2H2 + 502 --> 4CO2 + 2H2O

2moles of ethylene gives 176g of CO2

No. Of moles of Ethylene required to give 44g of CO2

= 2×44/176

= 2/4

= 1/2

= 0.5

0.5 moles of ethylene is required to give 44g of CO2
