Given :

Mass of glucose = 60g

To find :

Number of mole of glucose

Solution :

We know that,

Number of mole of glucose = mass of glucose ÷ molar mass of glucose

So , we need to find molar mass of glucose

Glucose = C₆H₁₂O₆

➝ Molar mass of glucose = ( 6 × atomic mass of C ) + ( 12 × atomic mass of H ) + ( 6 × atomic mass of O )

➝ Molar mass of glucose = ( 6 × 12 ) + ( 12 × 1 ) + ( 6 × 16 ) g/ mol

➝ Molar mass of glucose = 72 + 12 + 96 g/mol

➝ Molar mass of glucose = 180 g/mol

Number of mole of glucose = 60g ÷ (180 g/mol)

➝ Number of mole of glucose = 0.33 mol

ANSWER : 0.33 mol
