Formula to calculate the no. of moles:

No of moles = known mass of a substance/ molar mass of the substance.

No. of moles of Na= 46 / 23

                            = 2 moles

So in 46 grams, 2 moles of Na are present.

No of moles=Given mass/Molecular mass
Given mass =46
Molecular mass of sodium=23
Thus, no. of moles=46/23=2
Hence, there are 2 moles in 46g of sodium.
