To find:-

•Number of moles present in 1g of Ethane(C2H6)

Solution:-

•Atomic mass of Carbon(C)=12u

•Atomic mass of Hydrogen(H)=1u

Thus,molecular mass of Ethane:-

=>12×2+1×6

=>30u

Since molecular mass of Ethane is 30u,thus it's molar mass is 30g.

Now,we know that number of moles:-

=>Given mass/Molar mass

=>1/30

=>0.03 moles

Hence,0.03 moles are present in 1g of Ethane.

Answer:

Explanation:

We also know that 1 mole of C atoms weighs 12.01 g and 1 mol of H atoms weighs 1.0079 g. So, we know the molar mass of ethane also. Or, 30.07 g in 1 mole C2H6. So, we say the molar mass of ethane is 30.07 g/mol (that's grams per mole).

fun fact!!

We assume you are converting between grams Ethane and mole. You can view more details on each measurement unit: molecular weight of Ethane or mol The molecular formula for Ethane is C2H6. The SI base unit for amount of substance is the mole. 1 grams Ethane is equal to 0.03325679835472 mole.
