perimeter:

a) let the unknown length be x

to find x = x +12 = 10 + 6 ( by the other side's measure)

x= 10+6-12

x= 4

To find the perimeter of an object add the length of its boundry

8 + 10 + 7 + 6 + 11 + 12 + 4 = 58 cm

b) the opposite measurement been applied

2 + 4 + 3 + 12 + 3 + 4 + 2 + 12 = 2( 2 + 4 + 3 + 12)

= 4 + 8 + 6 + 24

= 42 cm
