AnswEr :

From the Question,

  • Acceleration,a = 0.5 m/s²
  • Distance travelled, d = 100 m
  • Time taken, t = 10 sec

Here,

Force due to gravity = Electrostatic Force

\longrightarrow ma = eE

\longrightarrow a = eE/m

We know that,

Specific Charge of Electron, e/m ≈ - 1.75 × 10¹¹ C/Kg

\longrightarrow 0.5 = E × {-1.75 × 10¹¹]

\longrightarrow E = - 0.28 × 10^-11 V/m

Also,

Potential Difference = - Electric Field × Distance

\longrightarrow V = -(-0.28 × 10^-11)× 10²

\longrightarrowV = 0.28 × 10^-9 Volts
