Calculate the pressure exerted in the following cases-

a) A girl of 40 kg wearing heels with an area of cross section 5 metre square.

b) A cow of 80 kg with foot area each of 10 metre square. (1 kg wt =10N) Choose the correct statement from the following.Required to answer. Single choice.

Answer:

a) Pressure = \frac{40}{5}

                   = 8 Pa

b) Pressure = \frac{80}{10}

                    = \frac{8}{1}

                    = 8 Pa

∴ The pressure exerted by the girl and the cow is the same.
