Explanation:

Force = mg = 60kg ×9.8m/s

= 588N

Area = 180 cm

Answer:

Ok so we know that pressure  = force/area right?

But we don't have the force. We're given the mass and that acceleration on earth is 9.8 m/s^2 but we can approximate it as 10 m/s^2.

So we can use Newton's second law of motion to find her weight ( the force that she exerts on earth).

F = m*a

F = 60 * 10 = 600 N.

So now that we have the force, we can calculate pressure but before that we must convert 150 cm^2 to m^2.

150 cm^2/10000 = 3/200 m^2

Pressure = F/a = 600 *200 /3 = 40000 pa (pa is pascal)

So therefore the boy exerts a pressure of 40,000 pa on the ground.
