Given,

Force (F) = 800N

Area (A)=2.0 m₂

To Find,

The pressure produced by a force acting on an area.

Solution,

Pressure is defined as force per unit area

Therefore, P =\frac{F}{A}

P = \frac{800N}{2.0m_{2} }

P =\frac{400N}{m_{2} }

P = 400 Pa

[Note: The S.I. unit\frac{N}{m_{2} } is usually converted to as Pascal or Pa. N/m2 is the pressure exerted by one Newton being devoted to an area of one square meter. 1 Pascal = 1 N/m2]

Therefore, The pressure produced is 400 Pa.
