Answer:

Force = 25 N = 25 kg/m²

area = 25 cm² = 25/10000 m² (since, 1 cm² = 1/10⁴ m²)

pressure = force / area

=> pressure = 25 N /(25/10000) m²

=> pressure = 10,000 Pascal or 10⁴ N/m²

hope this helps

Answer :

Given -

  • Force = 25 N
  • Area = 20 cm² = 0.002 m²

To Find -

  • Pressure ?

Solution -

Pressure is said to be Force per unit area.

Pressure = Force/Area.

Pressure = 25/0.002 = 25000/2 = 12,500 N/m²

Hence, Pressure = 12,500 N/m².

Some Additional Information :

  • Weight is the force with which it is attracted towards the earth.

  • Mass is the measure of object's inertia.

  • Thrust is the perpendicular force to the surface is called thrust.

  • Pressure is defined as force upon area.

  • Pressure = Thrust or Force/Area.
