HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

-------------------------------------------

If the year is not a leap year..

then the no. of days = 365

dividing the days by 7 for finding the no. of weeks

so,

365/7

52 complete weeks and one more day

It is clear that there are 52 weeks so no. of Wednesday will also be 52

Now the remaining day is one.

So the all possible days are = Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

So the number of all possible outcomes = 7

we need the day as Wednesday

So the number of favourable outcome = 1

-------------------------------------------------

Let the probability of occurring Wednesday is P(w)

here P(w) = No. of fav. outcomes / no.of all possible outcomes

so

P(w) = 1/ 7

thus the required probability is 1/7
