Given,

The pair of elements are =

1) Carbon 12 and Silicon ; 2) Fluorine and Neon..

To find,

The ratio of number of neutrons in the given pairs of elements.

Solution,

First of all, we need to calculate the number of neutrons present in individual elements of the given pairs.

In the first pair,

The carbon 12 isotope has 6 neutrons and Silicon has 14 neutrons.

So, the ratio of the number of neutrons = 6:14 = 3:7

In the second pair,

The flourine has 10 neutrons and neon has also 10 neutrons.

So, the ratio of the number of neutrons = 10:10 = 1:1

Hence, the ratio are 3:7 and 1:1
