Since, P = V^2 / R .....(i)
Then ,
Case I
P1 = 100W
From (i)
V^2 / R = 100W = P1 .....(ii)
Case II
P2 = 200W
From (i)
V^2 / R = 200W = P2 ......(iii)
Now,
P1 / P2 = 100W / 200W
V^2 / R1 1
------------- = -----
V ^2 / R2 2
Therefore , R1 / R2 = 1 /2.
