Answer :

Length of copper wire ( l ) = 1km
= 1000m

Radius of copper wire ( r ) = 1mm
= 1× 10^-3 m
= ( 1 × 10 to the
power -3 )

Resistivity of the copper wire ( p ) = 1.72 × 10^-8
Wm
Area of cross section ( A ) = π × r^2
= 3.14 × 10^-3 × 10^-3
= 3.14 × 10^-6 m^2
Resistance of copper wire = pl / A
= ( 1.72×10^-8 × 1000 ) /
( 3.14 × 10^-6 )
= 5.5 ohms

Hope you got your answer.

Best of luck for your future.
