Pls verify one time, my calculations could be wrong. I hope it was helpful

Deepvirk: the method is correct but the radius you took is wrong. The radius is 2mm
Aditya20122018: sorry I took converted into cm but I had to convert it into m
Aditya20122018: resistivity is in ohm.m and lenth is also in m so we need to get area in m^2
Aditya20122018: I have added another image with correction

GIVEN THAT

  • Length of copper wire = 2 km = 2000 m
  • Radius of copper wire = 2 mm = 2 × 10-³ m
  • Resistivity of copper = 1.72 x 10⁻⁸

CALCULATION OF RESISTANCE

  • (Resistivity of copper × Length)/(Area)
  • (Resistivity of copper × Length)/(πr²)
  • [1.72×10⁻⁸*2000]/[3.14×(2×10⁻³)²]
  • 2.7 ohm
