STEP : 1

how many way to reach at point B ( A to B )

two way to reach B ( i.e. ACOD path and ACDB path )

STEP : 2

According to this question all resistances are equal ( i.e. 6 ohm ). So, Consider all resistances are 'R' ohm .

Now, CO and OD are in series, So effective resistance is R + R = 2R

Then COD are parallel with CD, Eo effective resistance is

2R.R/2R+R = 2R/3 ( i.e. CD path ).

Now, AC, CD, DB arecin series. So effective resistance is

R + R + 2R/3 = 2R + 2R/3 = 8R/3

According to this question R = 6 ohm

Reqv. = 8×6/3 = 16 ohm
