Given:

One litre of petrol of specific gravity is 0.7

To find:

Calculate the specific weight, density, and weight of one litre of petrol of specific gravity is 0.7

Solution:

From given, we have,

One litre of petrol of specific gravity is 0.7

The density of petrol = specific gravity of petrol × density of water

= 0.7 × 1000

= 700 kg/m3

The specific weight of petrol = specific gravity of petrol × specific weight of water

= 0.7 × 1000 × 9.81

= 6867 N/m³

Weight of petrol = specific weight of petrol × volume of petrol

= 6867 × 10^-3

= 6.867 N
