Hii Dear,

◆ Answer -

Thickness of skin = 2.554 mm

◆ Explaination -

Let I0 be the initial intensity of the radiation and I be radiation afterwards.

I/I0 = (100-40)/100

I/I0 = 0.6

Thickness of the patient's skin will be given by -

t = ln(I0/I) / μ

t = ln(1/0.6) / 2

t = -ln(0.6) / 2

t = 0.5108 / 2

t = 0.2554 cm

t = 2.554 mm

Therefore, thickness of the skin will be 2.554 mm.

Thanks dear.
