Answer:

How is AD and BC calculated?

B.C. stands for "before Christ," meaning before Jesus was born. So 400 B.C. means 400 years before Jesus was born. A.D. comes from the Latin "anno Domini," which means "in the year of the Lord." A.D. applies to years following the birth of Jesus. ... A.D. 1500 is actually 1,499 years after Jesus was born.

Explanation:

BC- before crisht or BCE - before common era which means Christ was not born yet

In the year 0 , crisht got born ( just supposed , not true though)

Then starts AD ( Anno Domini)

Given year -50 AD

Which means = 50 AD + 200 BC = 250 YEARS from 50 AD

Its just like a no.line , on the left side of zero all no. are negative ( BC) & on rigt side of zero all no. are positive (AD).
