calculate the total amount of water given in the two containers. The capacity of each container is 4l the first container is half filled the second container is filled with one - fourth of water of its capacity

Total capacity = 4L

In first container = 1/2 ×4L

=> 2L

In second container = 1/4×4L

=> 1L

Total water in two containers = 2L + 1L = 3 Litres.
