The total torque acting on the body, about the point O is 0.54 N-m.

Explanation:

Step 1:

We will take torque in the anti-clockwise direction = +ve (positive)

Torque in clockwise direction = -ve (negative)

Now,

Torque : Torque is the spinning power that helps to spin. The point of rotation of the object is known as the rotation axis .

Total Torque = total force × perpendicular distance to the force(clockwise and anticlockwise )

Step 2:

Total torque   =20 \times 0.04 \times \sin 30+5 \times 0+15 \times 0.06 \times \sin 37^{\circ}-0 . \times \sin 90^{\circ}

                     =0.8 \times \sin 30+0+0.9 \times \sin 37^{\circ}-0.4 \times \sin 90^{\circ}

                     =0.8 \times \frac{1}{2}+0.9 \times 0.60-0.4 \times 1

                    =0.4+0.54-0.4

Total torque =0.54 \mathrm{N}-\mathrm{m} \text { (Anticlockwise direction })

Thus, the total torque acting on the body is 0.54 N-m.
