Answer:

Explanation:

Quantity of glucose solution =  0.1 mol (Given)

Temperature = 300k (Given)

Vapour pressure of water = 0.03 bar (Given)

Thus,

n(glucose) = 0.1 mol

W (water) = 1 L = 1 kg

n (water) = 1000/18 = 55.56 mol

Mole fraction of the water -

x(water) = 55.56 / (55.56 + 0.1)

= 0.9998

Vapour pressure of glucose solution is calculated by -

P(solution) = P°(water)x(water)

= 0.03 × 0.9998

= 0.02998 bar

Therefore, the vapour pressure of glucose soln is 0.02998 bar.
