Calculate the velocity of a missile having mass of 100kg , if it attains a momentum of 5000kg m/s when fired from a rocket gun ?​

p = mv

5000 = 100v

v = 50m/s

Momentum(p) = 5000 kg. m/s

Velocity(v) of missile

sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

We know that,

➦ Momentum(p) = Mass(m) × Velocity(v)

➦ p = m × v

Put the above given values in it, we get,

➮ 5000 = 100 × v

➮ 5000/100 = v

➮ v = 50 m/s

Hence,

Velocity of Missile is 50 m/s
