Moles of Nitrogen = Weight / Molar mass

= 7 g / (28 g/mol)

= 0.25 mol

Pressure = 750 mm Hg

= (750/760) atm ………[∵ 1 atm = 760 mm Hg]

= 75/76 atm

From ideal gas equation

V=nRT/P  =0.25mol×0.0821atm.L/(molK)  *300K/(75/76atm)

=6.2396 liters

The volume occupied by the gas is 6.2396 litres

Pressure = 750 mm Hg

= (750/760) atm [ 1 atm = 760 mm =

Hg]

= 75/76 atm

From ideal gas equation

V=nRT/P =0.25molx0.0821atm.L/(molk) *300K/(75/76atm)

=6.2396

The volume occupied by the gas is 6.2396L
