Calculate the volume of 1M NaOH required to neutralize 200
cc of 2M HCI. What mass of sodium chloride are produced

the volume of 1 mole of solution of sodium hydroxide = 400mL

the mass by Sodium Chloride produce = 23.4 g

EXPLANATION:

M1V1=M2V2

1×V=2×200

V=400mL

NaOH + HCl = NaCl + H2O

Number of moles of NaOH = Number of moles of NaCL

0.4 L of 1 M NaOH contains o.4 mol NaOH which would produce 0.4 mol NaCl

Therefore Mass of NaCl produced = 0.4 x 58.5 = 23.4
