The reaction is:

N₂ + O₂ → 2NO

one mole of N₂ and one mole of O₂ gas react to form 2 moles of NO gas

There are 22.4 litres of N₂ in one mole of the gas

and it is also the same for O₂ gas

2 mole of NO will have 2 x 22.4 = 44.8 litres of NO is formed

So, 22.4 litres of N₂ and 22.4 litres of O₂ react to form 44.8 litres of NO

Hence your answer is 22.4 litres of N₂
