Here is ur answer:

frequency =  \frac{1}{period}

 =  \frac{1}{4 \times  {10}^{ - 8} } = 2.5 \times  {10}^{7}   {s}^{ - 1}

 =  \frac{3 \times  {10}^{8} }{2.5 \times  {10}^{7} }  = 12m

 =  \frac{1}{12}  =  0.083 {m}^{ - 1}

 = 8.3 \times  {10}^{ - 2}  {m}^{ - 1}

Hope this will help you

Answer:

frequency = 1 / time period

= 1 / 4 * 10⁼⁸

= 1/4 * 10⁸

= 0.25 * 10⁸

Speed of light = wavelength * frequency

wavelength = c / frequency ( c is speed of light in vacuum )

wavelength = 3*10⁸ / 0.25 * 10⁸

= 12

wave number = 1 / wavelength

= 1 / 12
