Solution:

Given that,

  • Frequency of sound = 220 hz
  • Speed of sound = 440 m/s

∵ We have to find wavelength of a sound wave.

We know that relationship between Speed of light/wave , Frequency & Wavelength i.e V = nλ

V = nλ

⇒ 440 = 220 ×

⇒ λ = 440/220

λ = 2 A°

Therefore, Required wavelength of a sound wave is 2A°.

Answer:

The wavelength of a sound wave, λ = 2A°

Explanation:

Given,

Frequency of sound = 220 Hz

Speed of sound = 440 m/s

By using the formula of speed or velocity of sound wave.

V =

For finding the formula of wavelength.

V = nλ

=> λ = V/n

.°. λ = V/n

Now, putting the given values.

λ = V/n

=> λ = 440/220

=> λ = 2A°

.°. λ = 2A° ANSWER
