Mass of the CO₂ = 44 g/mole.

∴ Mass of the 1 molecules of the CO₂ = 44/6.022 × 10²³ g.

= 0.044/6.022 × 10²³ kg.

Velocity of the CO₂ = 440 m/s.

Using the Formula,

λ = h/mv

where, λ is the wavelength &

h is the Plank's constant = 6.62 × 10⁻³⁴ m²kgs⁻¹

∴ λ = 6.62 × 10⁻³⁴/(0.044/6.022 × 10²³) × 440

⇒ λ = (6.62 × 10⁻³⁴ × 6.022 × 10²³)/19.36

⇒ λ = 39.87/19.36 × 10⁻¹¹

∴ λ = 2.06 × 10⁻¹¹ m.

Hence, the wavelength of the one molecules of the CO₂ is 2.06 × 10⁻¹¹ m.

Hope it helps.

AS WE KNOW

WAVELENGTH =H/MV

WHERE M=MASS OF CARBON AND OXYGEN MOLECULE .

MASS OF 1 MOLE (6.02×10 ×23) OF CO2=44G THE MASS OF 1 MOLECULE OF CO2 WOULD BE IN KG 0.044/6.022×10×23

V =VELOCITY OF CO2

WAVELENGTH =20.641PM
