We know that the cl-cl energy is 243kjmol-1.

E=243000(1/6.022*10^23) =4*10^-19

by the formula lambda=hc/E

lambda=(6.625*10^-34)*(3*10^8)/4*10^-19

= 19. 875*10^-7/4=488nm
