Answer:

The work done is -4077.1J.

Explanation:

Given: 2 mole of an ideal gas from 2 ltr to 5 ltr at 273 degree celcius.

Find : The work done .

Solution: Amount of work done in reversible is other mole expansion.

w=-2.303n RT log \frac{V_2}{V_1}

given, n=2, R=8.314JK^{-1} mol^{-1}, T=273,V_{2}  =5ltr, V_{1}= 2ltr.

substituting the value in about equation.

w=-2.303\times2\times8.314\times273\times log\frac{5}{2}

w=-2.303\times2\times8.314\times273\times0.39

w=-4077.1J

Hence, the work done is -4077.1J.
