Calculate the work done on a nano car of mass 650 kg so as to increase its velocity from 18km h^-1 to 36km h^-1

sohildudhwalaoz5cz9: It’s from chapter work and energy

Work done = Change in kinetic energy

=) W = 1/2 * m * {(v) ^2 - (u) ^2}

Given,

m= 650kg, u = 18 km/h = 18 * 1000 / 60*60 m/s
= 5 m/s and v = 36km/h = 36 * 1000 / 60*60m/s
= 10 m/s.

=) W = 1/2 * 650 * [(10)^2 - (5)^2] J

=) W = 1/2 * 650 * (100-25) J

=) W = 1/2 * 650 * 75 J

=) W = 24,375 J.

Hope it's helpful to u.
