Given conditions,

No. of moles (n) = 5 moles,

Temperature (T) = 330 K.

Initial Volume (V₁)= 40 m³

Final volume(V₂) = 80 m³

Using the formula of the Isothermal Expansion,

Work Done = -2.303nrTlog(V₂/V₁)

Work done = -2.303 × 5 × 8.314 × 330 × log(80/40)

∴ Work done = -2.303 × 5 × 8.314 × 330 × 0.3010

∴ Work done = -9509.428 J.

Hope it helps.

moles =m= 5 moles,

Temperature =T = 330 Kelvin

V1= 40 cube m

Vf=final colume= 80 cube m

using isothermal expansion

Work done=W = -2.303*m*rT*log(V₂/V₁)

W = -2.303 * 5 *8.314 *330 *log(80/40)

W = -2.303 × 5 × 8.314 × 330 × 0.3010

W -9509.428 Joules
