Reaction:-

CaCO3=>CaO + CO2

So,

1 vol of CaCO3 produces 1 vol of CO2

X vol of CaCO3 produces X vol of CO2

Now,

Mol.weight of CaCO3 = 2*40+12+3*16

=140

Considering the temperature and pressure to be at STP,we know,

1 mole of a substance occupies 22.4l

In case of CaCO3,

140g occupies 22.4l

therefore,10g occupies (22.4*10)/140 l

So we get 1.6l of CaCO3

putting 1.6 in X,

1.6l of CO2

or,

1600cc of CO2
