Metals have high thermal conductivity and the loss of heat is less when compared to glass.

Calorimeters are made of metal such as stainless steel (sometimes copper) not glass because metals have better tendency than glass for heat transfers.
Explanation:
As we know, the metals have better tendency of heat transfer as compared to non metals such as glass and this is because thermal coefficient of metals are much more than the thermal coefficient of the non-metals.
Also, glass is very bad conductor heat. Without providing efficient energy to other side of the glass, before that, it starts melting.
That is why metals are used in calorimeter.
