why renewable sources of energy must be encouraged to meet growing demands of energy

Sources of energy are divided into types:

1. Renewable sources- The sources of energy which can be used for long time and can never get exhausted.

2. Non-renewable sources- The sources of energy which once got exhausted can never get back so needs to be used wisely.

Renewable sources of energy must be encouraged to meet growing demands of energy because they can be used again and again and will never get exhausted unlike the non-renewable resources which takes many years to form and will be hard to get back once exhausted.  

Although wood is also considered as a renewable resources but it too should be used wisely because a tree generally takes 15 or more years to grow to a stage when it is fully mature, hence it too should be used wisely.

In the upcoming future the non-renewable sources of energy may get exhausted because of which the requirements would not be fulfilled. So non-renewable sources which would last long in the longer run and would not get exhausted are encouraged.
