Calvin cycle occur in chloroplasts, the inner space of stroma, in photosynthesis organisms.

This is a three step series of Calvin–Benson–Bassham (CBB) cycle, reductive pentose phosphate cycle or C3 cycle.

Calvin cycle is dependent on the ATP and NADPH in the sun light reactions as calvin cycle cannot take place in dark or in the absence of light and this process is also known as dark reactions.
