An object is at rest can also be in motion with respect to different reference points.

yes , a body may be at rest with respect to one body and may be in motion with respect to another body . it all depends on your frame of reference i.e. the way of viewing the object
and we know , that state of rest and state of motion are relative in nature
like , for instance , u are sitting in a moving bus , the trees on the road seem to move backwards to u , but to the man walking on road they aren't going anywhere .
similarly , a man at road may see your fellow passengers in motion but you see them in rest
so, a body can be in rest as well as motion at the time
