Speed is scalar quantity and velocity is vector

speed has no direction it has only magnitude but velocity has both

magnitude and direction.  

 example is

 Body moving with uniform circular motion has constant speed due to constant magnitude but velocity is not constant becuse its direction is changes continuosely
