Velocity depends upon magnitude which is speed and direction.

And speed only depends upon magnitude. One can say magnitude of velocity is speed. Means taking measurement of direction.

So if velocity is constant means there is no change in direction as well as in magnitude which is speed.

But opposite is true i.e, A body can have constant speed but varying velocity. Means only direction is changing so velocity is changing.
