Yes,
as cactus is exposed to dry and harsh climate
, nocturnal plants like aloe vera,cactus open up their pores at night but most plant do the same opposite .The cooler temperature,lake of sunlight and calmer breeze help cacti retain water.
Most if the desretic plants have thick waxy coating to reduce transpiration because of lack of moisture in atmosphere, this adaptation helps cactus survive.
