Can a child have a different blood type than both parents

While a child could have the sameblood type as one of his/her parents, it doesn't always happen that way. For example, parents with AB and O blood types can either have children withblood type A or blood type B. These two types are definitely different than parents' blood types! ... They willmatch both parents.
